Transformar datos en acciones: sensores que contribuyen a un vivero escolar
Un ejemplo de proyecto escolar donde mediante una Raspberry conectada a sensores, se miden parámetros como temperatura y humedad, para aumentar o disminuir la ventilación de un invernadero, o modificar el riego de determinadas plantas, creando las condiciones ideales para su crecimiento. El proyecto se ha llevado a cabo por el profesor Chris Avilés en Nueva Jersey (Estados Unidos), y se hace eco de la noticia el Instituto Nacional de Tecnologías Educativas y Formación del Profesorado del Ministerio español de Educación, Formación Profesional y deportes.
Un sensor para reducir el consumo de agua de la agricultura y plantarle cara a la sequía
Una solución tecnológica desarrollada por dos estudiantes de la UOC permite recortar a la mitad el gasto de agua en el riego agrícola. El 80% del agua que se consume en España se emplea en la agricultura. Artículo de investigación publicado por Juan F. Samaniego en Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.

The Internet of Things
This article is an introduction to the so-called Internet of Things (IoT), which is one of the sectors that in Greece can offer significant benefits, and in combination with 5G technology, can contribute to the country’s digital transformation. More specifically, the solutions that the BtP can offer in the fields of Medicine, Smart Buildings, governance and administration, as well as in the agricultural sector and crops are described. In addition, any problems and precautions that appear during the use of these technologies are also outlined.
